Questions about renting charter buses:
CAN I CHOOSE A CHARTER BUS?
Typically, yes! Our vast network of charter bus vendors has a wide range of coach buses to choose from. Based on your trip needs, we will recommend a bus for you, however, if you would prefer to select your bus, we would be happy to accommodate you!
HOW WILL MY BUSES BE SELECTED?
During the booking process, we will collect all relevant information about your trip - including the number of passengers, duration of the trip, baggage details and any special needs of your passengers. After collecting this information, we work with our supplier network to select the bus(s) that are right for your needs.
WHAT ARE THE STANDARD BUS EQUIPMENT?
Standard amenities (excluding school buses) will include reclining high-back seats, air-conditioning, ample legroom, a restroom, and a basic sound and sound system. Seat belts are not standard on charter buses, but can be ordered (though not guaranteed).
WHAT OTHER FACILITIES ON THE BUS CAN I SEND FOR?
Depending on availability, and for an additional fee, you can request to have Wi-Fi, electrical outlets, DVD players and monitors, leather seating, hardwood flooring, and PA systems. We also have ADA- accessible coach buses available. Please make all requests known at the time of your booking.
WHAT WILL WE DO IF OUR BUS MAKES UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE JOURNEY?
Although not very common, due to the rigorous maintenance of charter buses, we have a plan! Simply call us at 1-888-612-1308 for immediate assistance and we'll find a replacement vehicle without adding a huge delay to your journey.
Driver questions:
DO YOU REQUIRE YOUR DRIVERS TO BE INSPECTED?
Absolutely! All supplier-provided drivers will be required to attend all inspections required by state and federal agencies and regulations. In addition, we require that all drivers have some experience in operating charter buses.

WHAT INFORMATION ABOUT MY DRIVER WILL I RECEIVE?
If you need to contact your driver, just give us a call and we'll give you their phone number so you can contact your driver directly.
HOW TO APPLY FOR A DRIVER WITH A SPAB/ISD/19A CERTIFICATE?
Please ask for a SPAB/ISD/19A certified driver at the time of booking. We have it available in the following states: AZ, CA, NY, NJ, and OR.
Travel Questions:
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I NEED TO CHANGE THE ROUTINE AT THE LAST MINUTE?
We are happy to accommodate modifications to your itinerary! Please contact us as soon as you know that your travel details have changed. Please note that changes to your trip may lead to an increase in the price for extra time or mileage.
CAN I KEEP THE BUS LONGER THAN ORIGINALLY AGREED UP?
If the bus driver agrees and the request also meets D.O.T. regulations, we will do our best to honor your request. Please note that additional overtime charges may apply. You can also choose to add extra booking time in advance to keep costs low.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE NUMBER OF PASSENGERS CHANGES?
Subject to availability, we will book another bus for you if the number of passengers exceeds the bus originally booked. Please note that price changes may occur.
WHY DO YOU NEED AN ITINERARY?
To comply with D.O.T. regulations and laws, we will need to review your itinerary to determine if any modifications are required to your booking.
CAN WE GET ON THE BUS?
Make this request at the initial point of booking and we will work with our suppliers to find one that will accept tailgating. Please note that an additional fee may apply.
CAN WE EMPLOY YOU TO JUST DRIVE US INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING A SET ITINERARY?
Unfortunately not. Dot. regulations do not allow charter bus tours without an itinerary. Itinerary changes can be made at any time, even while traveling!
ARE WE ALLOWED TO BRING FOOD AND BEVERAGES ON THE BUS?
In most cases, yes! However, some of our vendors do not allow it, so we ask that you verify with your booking agent first. An additional security deposit, or extra cleaning fee may be incurred. Alcoholic beverages must be approved by Coach America. We require that all persons on board must be 21+ and that consumption of alcohol must comply with state and local regulations. We do not allow kegs and glass bottles.
